Justin Maxwell homered and had 3 RBI at Nationals Park as the Washington
Nationals beat the Atlanta Braves by the count of 11 to 4.

Atlanta fell behind quickly as the Washington offense came through in the
first inning scoring 6 runners on 3 hits. The early run support proved
sufficient for Craig Stammen(1-3) and Washington. That was all the run
support Stammen required. Washington finished with 8 hits in the victory.

Kenshin Kawakami(0-1) was charged with the loss. With this win, Washington
has a 5-19 record. They have been 3-7 lately. With this loss, Atlanta has a
2-2 record of late, 2-2 overall.
