Josh Johnson reeled off a total of 12 strikeouts as the Florida Marlins beat
the struggling St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 6 to 1.

Johnson(4-0) had a strong outing. He didn't give up much, just 9 hits and no
walks in 9 innings. Florida had a total of 13 hits for the game.

Adam Wainwright(1-3) was hit with the loss. He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 8 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Johnson - except St. Louis. Tony
LaRussa lamented, 'He just was 'on' this afternoon. He was keeping our guys
off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes it a
fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
