In a tight game it was the Pittsburgh Pirates 4, the Milwaukee Brewers 2 at
PNC Park.

Pittsburgh came up with all the runs they needed in the 1st inning when they
tallied 4 runs on 6 hits. The key at-bat was by Adam Laroche who brought a
roar from the partisan PNC Park fans when he cleared the fences for a two-run
home run. Pittsburgh finished with 12 hits while Milwaukee ended up with 6.

Matt Capps(1-0) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. The loss was
charged to Braden Looper(0-2). Pittsburgh now has a record of 8-4. With
this loss, Milwaukee has a 6-4 record of late, 12-11 overall.
