The Boston Redsox edged the Minnesota Twins at Target Field by the score of 2
to 1.

The game was decided in the top of the 8th inning. Ryan Kalish cracked a solo
homerun. After an out was recorded, Victor Martinez came to the plate and
slapped a base-hit. Minnesota had a chance to come back in the 9th but they
came up short.

The win went to Clay Buchholz(5-0) who allowed 1 run in 8 innings. Buchholz
got help from Jonathan Papelbon who was credited with his 4th save. The
losing pitcher was Jon Rauch(1-1) in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in
1 inning.

The Boston ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 16-6. With the
loss, Minnesota has a record of 4-6 lately, 11-9 overall.
