Andrew Bailey performed beautifully in relief and right fielder Rajai Davis
blasted a grand slam as the Oakland A's bested the Detroit Tigers 7 to 5 at
Comerica Park.

Davis was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day at
their team's expense. He doubled in the 2nd inning and quieted the crowd by
clouting a Grand Slam in the 5th inning. Oakland out-hit Detroit for the
game, 12 hits to 9.

The victory was credited to Brett Anderson(2-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 5
runs. Bailey preserved the game for Anderson, recording his his 4th. Brad
Thomas(0-1) took the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 8 hits and 4
walks in 4 innings.

'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Anderson said,
'this was one of those times.'
