Josh Bard went yard and had 3 RBI as the Seattle Mariners outscored the
Toronto Bluejays 5 to 4.

Seattle started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first as they scored 3 runs on 3 base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided
by Casey Kotchman who made the crowd happy when he singled scoring two
baserunners. Toronto made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to
push the needed runs across.

The winning pitcher was Doug Fister(1-3) who allowed 4 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings. Fister got relief help from David Aardsma who gained credit for his
4th save. Ricky Romero(3-2) was charged with the loss. He pitched 8 innings
allowing 9 hits and 4 walks.

'We won because we did the little things right.' Chris Couch said after the
game. 'This is why we practice things over and over and over, so when we get
in close games we don't make mistakes.'
