In a thriller the Oakland A's staged a dramatic comeback then held on to win
over the Minnesota Twins by a score of 4 to 3 at Target Field.

Oakland won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs on 4 hits.
Mark Ellis led off and started the rally when he laced a base-hit. Rajai
Davis next to the plate and he ripped a single. Cliff Pennington then
tripled. Coco Crisp followed and he ripped a base-knock. The game was a
scoreless duel until the 6th inning.

Andrew Bailey recorded his 3rd save. Jesse Crain(0-1) was the loser in

After the game, it took a long while before John Thomas emerged from his
office. In a subdued tone he answered only a couple of questions. He
concluded with, 'Fellows, sorry I'm not in a very talkative mood this
afternoon, as I think you'll understand. I'm sure you'll find the banter a
lot more light-hearted over in the Oakland locker room.'
