Ricky Romero(3-1), with relief help from Scott Downs, blanked the Tampa Bay
Rays at Rogers Centre. The Toronto Bluejays scored scored 6 runs for the
victory.

Toronto had 3 runs cross the plate in the 5th inning when they came up with 3
base hits. They would prove to be the difference in the contest. Both teams
finished the game with 7 hits.

Jeff Niemann(1-1) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 5 hits and 3 walks in
