Nelson Cruz launched 2 homeruns and had 7 RBI at Rangers Ballpark as the Texas
Rangers embarrassed the Oakland A's by the lopsided score of 16 to 4.

Cruz enjoyed a great day at the plate. Every time he came up in the latter
innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He belted a three-run homer
in the 1st inning, lashed a single resulting in a run in the 5th inning and
rifled a three-run blast in the 7th inning. Texas provided plenty of action
in the 1st inning when they had 10 runs on 10 hits. Overall Texas out-hit
Oakland 18 to 10.

The winning pitcher was Scott Feldman(2-0) who allowed 4 runs in 5 and 2/3
innings. Dallas Braden(1-1) was charged with the loss. He surrendered 10
runs and 10 hits in 1/3 of an inning.

Texas won for the 6th straight time.
