Colby Lewis dominated striking out 11 Los Angeles(AL) batters at Rangers
Ballpark where the Texas Rangers beat the Los Angeles(AL) Angels 7 to
3.
Lewis(1-1) had a solid outing for Texas. He went 8 innings surrendering 8
hits and 2 walks. Texas ended up with 13 hits for the game while Los
Angeles(AL) had 8.
Trevor Bell(2-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was not very effective,
surrendering 4 runs in 2 innings.
Lewis was pleased with his performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my
pitches. Just as important, my location was right on. The fans really got
into the game too - that always helps me. Now, if I can only do that again
in my next outing.'
