Cliff Lee mowed down 11 Baltimore batters as the seemingly unstoppable Texas
Rangers outscored the Baltimore Orioles 8 to 2.

Lee(3-0) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He was stingy on the mound,
allowing just 8 hits and 2 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings reducing his ERA from
2.52 to 1.89. Texas out-hit Baltimore for the game, 14 hits to 9.

Jake Arrieta(0-1) ended up with the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 6
innings. 'He was really impressive today,' Arrieta said of his counterpart.
'Our guys were just swinging at air.'
