Second baseman Dustin Pedroia went yard and Tim Wakefield went 9 strong
innings as the Boston Redsox outscored the Cleveland Indians 3 to
1.
 
Wakefield(1-0) simply dominated Cleveland.  He didn't allow much, just 4 hits
and 1 walk in 9 innings.  Cleveland went down without a fight in the 9th.
 
Fausto Carmona(1-2) ended up with the loss.  He pitched 7 innings allowing 7
hits and 1 walk. 'Wakefield was the man today,' Andy Virostek said.  'He had
just about every pitch working.'
