Shortstop Marco Scutaro jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as the
Boston Redsox defeated the New York (AL) Yankees 10 to 7 at Fenway Park.

In the bottom of the 2nd inning Boston went on top for good when they tallied
2 runs on 2 hits. New York (AL) made it exciting in the 9th, but they were
unable to push the needed runs across.

The win was credited to Josh Beckett(4-1) who went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing
4 runs. Beckett was helped out by Jonathan Papelbon who recorded his 7th
save. A.J. Burnett(1-3) ended up with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 7
hits and 3 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.

'You have to give New York (AL) credit, they fought us tough to the end' Andy
Virostek said. 'It could have gone either way, but I'm glad we pulled out
the victory.'
