Ervin Santana hurled a 1 hitter and Torii Hunter lofted one into the 'cheap
seats' and had 2 RBI as the Los Angeles(AL) Angels defeated the Kansas City
Royals by the score of 4 to 2 at Kauffman Stadium.
 
Los Angeles(AL) scored the winning runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs using 3
hits.  After two outs Maicer Izturis jump-started the rally as he lashed a
single.  Hunter followed next and he smashed a two-run homer.  Peter Bourjos
then ripped a base-knock.  Los Angeles(AL) totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.
 
Santana(6-2) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. The loss
was charged to Greg Holland(1-2) in relief.  
 
Santana was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of
the game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked.  My arm
felt great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three innings.  I only
hope that I can do it again next time out!'
