Minnesota found themselves trailing quickly as the Kansas City bats came
through in the first inning when they tallied 3 runs on 4 hits.  Minnesota
was out-hit by Kansas City, 16 hits to 6.  
 
Jeff Francis(2-2) picked up the victory, allowing 5 runs in 6 innings. Nick
Blackburn(2-2) was the losing pitcher.  He was not very effective,
surrendering 7 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
