Second baseman Luke Hughes lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI as
the Minnesota Twins defeated the Kansas City Royals by the score of 11 to 4
at Target Field.
 
Minnesota set the tone of the game in the first inning when they came up with
3 runs on 3 hits.  The highlight belonged to Chris Parmelee who brought the
crowd to their feet when he doubled scoring two baserunners.  Minnesota
totaled 11 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Carl Pavano(6-1) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Bruce
Chen(2-4) took the loss.  He was unable to control the Minnesota offense and
allowed 8 hits and 4 walks in 4 innings.
