Comerica Park in a hard fought contest.

The score was tied at 3 after nine. Chicago (AL) came out the victor in the
10th inning. Tadahito Iguchi smacked a single. After an out was recorded,
Paul Konerko stepped in and he doubled scoring the run. Chicago (AL) managed
9 hits in their victory.

Cliff Politte(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Neal
