Felix Hernandez allowed just 2 hits at SAFECO Field where the Seattle Mariners
beat the Toronto Bluejays by the score of 4 to 1.

Hernandez(1-0) was simply too much for the Toronto batters. He allowed just 2
hits and 1 walk in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 3.60 to 1.93. Seattle
totaled 9 hits on the afternoon.

Gustavo Chacin(4-3) was charged with the loss. Hernandez was obviously very
pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one
of those games where everything worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could
have pitched another two or three innings. I only hope that I can do it
again next time out!'
