Shortstop Derek Jeter hit a homerun and had 3 RBI at Fenway Park as the New
York (AL) Yankees beat the Boston Redsox 10 to 5.

New York (AL) had the game winning rally in the top of the 8th inning scoring
5 runners on 3 hits. The key at-bat was by Jeter who quieted the home crowd
when he belted a three-run homer (his 3rd of the season). New York (AL)
totaled 13 hits on the afternoon.

Tanyon Sturtze(1-0) allowed 1 run in 2 innings, and picked up the victory. Tom
Gordon got the save, his 1st. Mike Timlin(0-3) was the losing pitcher in
relief.
