Bobby Crosby had 4 hits as the Oakland A's beat the Texas Rangers in 10
innings by a score of 7 to 6.

The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings. Oakland won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning. Mark Ellis stroked a base-hit. Mark
Kotsay came next and he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Crosby came
to the plate and doubled making Oakland the winners and sending the 35,708
fans home happy. Oakland finished with 15 hits while Texas ended up with 8.

Huston Street(1-0) allowed 2 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Francisco Cordero(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He
surrendered 1 run and 2 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.
