In a close game it was the red-hot Minnesota Twins 5, the Cleveland Indians 3
at Jacobs Field.

Minnesota wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning with 2 runs on
2 hits. After an out was recorded, Mike Cuddyer got things going when he
drew a walk. Mike Redmond came to the plate and doubled. Torii Hunter then
doubled which was good for two runs. Neither team managed to score after the
3rd inning.

The victory was credited to Carlos Silva(1-1) who went 5 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 3 runs. Silva got help from Joe Nathan who was credited with his 3rd
save. C.C. Sabathia(3-1) was the loser. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving
up 5 hits and 2 walks.
