last at-bat beating the Texas Rangers by the count of 2 to 1.

The game was won by Boston with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. After
an out was recorded, David Ortiz delivered a solo blast (his 9th of the
season) resulting in an exciting win for Boston and a wild post-game
celebration by the home town fans. Although they lost, Texas did out-hit
Boston 7 to 2.

The win was credited to Wells(3-1) who went the whole way allowing 1 run. Juan
Dominguez(1-2) was hit with the loss. He was stingy with the baserunners,
allowing just 2 hits and 3 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings.
