Mark Teixeira knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the New York (AL) Yankees
defeated the Cleveland Indians by the score of 3 to 1 at Yankee
Stadium.

Teixeira had a good day at the plate. He lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run in the 4th inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the
6th inning. New York (AL) managed only 4 hits on the afternoon.

C.C. Sabathia(4-2) went 8 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Sabathia was
helped out by Mariano Rivera who recorded his 8th save. Josh Tomlin(0-2) was
