Javier Vazquez(1-1)with help from the bullpen handcuffed the struggling
Cleveland Indians batters at Progressive Field in a day game. The New York
(AL) Yankees scored 6 runs for the win.

Cleveland was unable to climb back into it after New York (AL) went ahead for
good in the 2nd inning when they scored 2 runs on 2 hits. That was all the
runs Vazquez needed. New York (AL) had 9 hits for the afternoon while
Cleveland had 4.

Fausto Carmona(1-4) was the loser. He pitched 7 innings giving up 7 hits and
1 walk.
