Third baseman Alex Rodriguez slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the New York
(AL) Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles 12 to 5 at Yankee
Stadium.

Rodriguez made sure the New York (AL) fans enjoyed themselves. He smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 4th inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 8th
inning. Offensively, New York (AL) was a juggernaut. They scored in 6
separate innings.

The victory was credited to C.C. Sabathia(1-2) who went 7 innings, allowing 5
runs. Jo-Jo Reyes(1-1) was the loser. He allowed 4 homeruns in 5 innings of
work.
