WEB GEMS- Bot 4th: Coco Crisp robbed Jake Fox of a Homerun!

Catcher Jake Fox smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles
defeated the Oakland A's in 12 innings by the score of 8 to 7 at Camden
Yards.

Both teams were tied at 7 runs apiece after nine innings. Finally, Baltimore
pulled the game out in the 12th inning. Fox doubled. Chris Davis stepped up
next and he laced a one-base hit. Brian Fuentes then picked Davis off first
base. Nick Markakis stepped in and he slapped a single giving Baltimore the
victory as 14,524 happy fans celebrated wildly. Baltimore finished with 15
hits while Oakland ended up with 11.

Jim Johnson(2-0) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Fautino
De Los Santos(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and
2 hits in 2 innings.

'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Fox said. 'Whenever I
would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
