Paul Konerko smashed 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Mark Buehrle was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Chicago
(AL) Whitesox crushed the Minnesota Twins 16 to 2.
 
Konerko provided much of the offense.  He slapped a single in the 3rd inning,
doubled in the 4th inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 5th
inning, rifled a three-run blast in the 6th inning and delivered a solo blast
in the 8th inning.  Chicago (AL) provided plenty of action in the 5th inning
when they had 6 runs on 5 hits and the 6th inning with 4 runs on 3 hits.
Chicago (AL) kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6
different innings.  
 
The win went to Buehrle(1-4) who allowed 2 runs in the game. Brian
Duensing(0-2) ended up with the loss.  He served up 3 homeruns in his 4 and
2/3 innings.  
 
Wth the win Chicago (AL) now has a record of 6-12.  With the loss Minnesota
now has a record of 4-3.
