Colby Lewis came through with a solid 7 innings as the Texas Rangers defeated
the Minnesota Twins by the score of 8 to 0 at Target Field.
 
Texas jumped out to the early lead in the first inning when they tallied 2
runs on 3 hits.  That early run support was all that Lewis(2-1) required.
For the game Texas out-hit Minnesota 14 to 4.  
 
Lewis got relief help from Mike Gonzalez who gained credit for his 1st save.
Carl Pavano(1-1) was charged with the loss.  
 
Texas continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division
leading 11-4.  They are 8-2 in their last ten games.  With the loss, the
Minnesota ballclub's record is 4-5.
