Ben Zobrist had 4 hits at Tropicana Field where the Tampa Bay Rays beat the
Minnesota Twins by the score of 7 to 2.

Tampa Bay went ahead for good in the 7th inning when they came up with 3 runs
on 4 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by John Jaso who elicited a
roar from the hometown fans when he ripped a one-base hit bringing home two
baserunners. Tampa Bay had 15 hits overall, while Minnesota had 9.

Jeff Niemann(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings.
Brandon Gomes preserved the game for Niemann, recording his his 1st save.
Glen Perkins(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief. He gave up 3 hits and no
walks in 2/3 of an inning.

'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' John Thomas sighed. 'That win feels like a tall, cool
drink of water after spending far too much time in the desert lately.'
