Chris Getz had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the sizzling Kansas City Royals beat
the Boston Redsox by a score of 5 to 2.
 
Kansas City had 3 runs cross the plate in the 4th inning when they had 3 base
hits.  After an out was recorded, Jeff Francoeur initiated the scoring when
he smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'.  Mike Moustakas stepped up next and he
laced a one-base hit.  Brayan Pena then drew a walk.  Clay Buchholz then
threw a wild pitch.  Getz stepped into the box and stroked a base-hit.  Getz
took off for second and slid in with a stolen base.  Kansas City ended up
with 10 hits for the game while Boston had 7.  
 
Luke Hochevar(1-0) allowed 2 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory.
Joakim Soria preserved the game for Hochevar, recording his his 5th save.
Buchholz(0-2) was the loser.  
 
In another of a string of victories, Kansas City extended their winning streak
to 7 games.
