Marco Scutaro cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the Boston Redsox ballclub
embarrassed the Tampa Bay Rays by the count of 13 to 3.
 
Scutaro had a good day at the plate.  He laced a one-base hit in the 1st
inning, bombed a two-run dinger in the 2nd inning and tripled in the 6th
inning.  Boston had 19 hits for the afternoon while Tampa Bay had 6.  
 
The victory went to Erik Bedard(1-0) who went 7 and 2/3 innings, allowing 3
runs. James Shields(1-1) took the loss.  He was knocked around by Boston,
allowing 17 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.
