Carlos Lee blasted a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Houston Astros defeated the
Detroit Tigers by the score of 7 to 1 at Minute Maid Park.
 
Houston jumped out to the early lead in the first inning plating an isolated
run utilizing 2 base hits.  Houston finished with 16 hits while Detroit ended
up with 10.  
 
The victory went to J.A. Happ(3-0) who went 5 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1 run.
Happ got relief help from Wilton Lopez who gained credit for his 1st save.
Phil Coke(0-1) was hit with the loss.  Houston scored big getting 4 runs off
him in 2 and 2/3 innings.  
 
The Houston ballclub's record now stands at 8-8.  With the loss Detroit now
has a record of 2-6, worst in the division.
