Adrian Beltre cracked 2 homeruns and Derek Holland shutout Minnesota while
allowing the Texas bullpen a day-off as the Texas Rangers outscored the
Minnesota Twins 5 to 0.
 
Holland(4-0) was tremendous on the mound for Texas. He didn't give up much,
just 6 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 2.16 to 1.59.
Texas rapped out 9 hits for the afternoon.  
 
Francisco Liriano(0-2) was the loser.  He allowed 3 homeruns in 6 and 2/3
innings of work.  The winning ways continue for Texas.  They now have a
record of 8-2 in recent days.  With this loss, Minnesota has a 4-6 record of
late, 4-6 overall.
