Alex Rios slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI at US Cellular Field where the
Chicago (AL) Whitesox beat the Minnesota Twins by the score of 6 to 5.
 
In the 7th inning Chicago (AL) scored 2 runs.  The key at-bat was by Alejandro
De Aza who thrilled the crowd when he blasted a two-run home run.  Minnesota
made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs
across.  
 
The winning pitcher was Will Ohman(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1/3 of an
inning. Ohman got help from Sergio Santos who was credited with his 2nd save.
Matt Capps(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief.  He surrendered 3 hits
and no walks in 2 innings.
