Asdrubal Cabrera had 4 hits as the Cleveland Indians defeated the New York
(AL) Yankees by a score of 3 to 2 at Progressive Field.

Cleveland did all the necessary damage in the 1st inning when they tallied 3
runs on 4 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Josh Tomlin(1-1)
and Cleveland. That was all the run support Tomlin required. New York (AL)
made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs
across.

Chris Perez recorded his 2nd save. C.C. Sabathia(0-2) was charged with the
loss. Despite losing, he struckout 12 Cleveland batters in 8 innings.

'We just made a lot of mistakes, mostly mental,' Joe Girardi said. 'It's bad
enough when the other team beats you, but when you start beating yourselves,
that's really bad.'
